Engagés pour l'eau et l'assainissement urbains

History

Created in 1990, an ex-subsidiary of Lyonnaise des Eaux, LYSA has been an independent company since 2005, with private shareholders, who apply principles that are directly linked to the achievement of the objectives of the Millennium Campaign.

LYSA has built up its extensive experience as a specialised operator in water and sanitation in medium-sized towns in Latin America, the Caribbean, Africa and Asia.

A specialised operator in drinking water and sanitation  LYSA's core business is the delegated management of drinking water and sanitation services. Over the years and benefiting from its governance, LYSA has been involved in public-private partnerships (PPP) with an important participative dimension, which have allowed it to affirm its original skills in social engineering.

In addition to long delegated management missions, lasting from 7 to 15 years, it has also carried out shorter management missions, lasting only a few years, but always focussed on the achievement of results.

LYSA can combine the skills of operator and expert, in a consortium with design study companies and building companies to make proposals in construction, operation and transfer programmes, or to carry out survey and supervision missions, in a preparatory stage before the operator takes over.

LYSA has also developed new know-how in the disciplines of unaccounted for water and loss reduction, and also in the field of commercial management.

LYSA has gained a very broad experience and is perfectly placed to move into action in medium-sized towns or peripheral districts of towns that have been subject to difficult situations related to natural catastrophes, conflict, or social or health crises.
